The Owners of the Eureka Hotel Geelong were looking to refresh their entire 7 room venue using a combination of Street art and quirky refurbishment.
Alleycat Creatives preference was to predominantly use recycled, vintage or pre-loved items through the refurb.
Alleycat Creative was engaged to (a) design the Creative Concepts for the 7 different personalities of the areas in the venue, (b) source the quirky items for the space, (c) work alongside the Client to manage aspects of the interior design aspects of the refurbishment and (d) curate the collection and project manage the installation of several Street Art works within each of the areas of the venue.
A curated team of 18 Street Artists were commissioned to install their works directly upon the wall surfaces within the rooms.
The refurb occurred over a 3 week period in June 2013.
The result is a total transformation of a ‘soul-less’ space into a warm, interesting, atmospheric venue, filled with personality inviting visitors to question, explore and play.
