The Eureka Hotel

The Owners of the Eureka Hotel Geelong were looking to refresh their entire 7 room venue using a combination of Street art and quirky refurbishment.
Alleycat Creatives preference was to predominantly use recycled, vintage or pre-loved items through the refurb.
Alleycat Creative was engaged to (a) design the Creative Concepts for the 7 different personalities of the areas in the venue, (b) source the quirky items for the space, (c) work alongside the Client to manage aspects of the interior design aspects of the refurbishment and (d) curate the collection and project manage the installation of several Street Art works within each of the areas of the venue.
A curated team of 18 Street Artists were commissioned to install their works directly upon the wall surfaces within the rooms.
The refurb occurred over a 3 week period in June 2013.
The result is a total transformation of a ‘soul-less’ space into a warm, interesting, atmospheric venue, filled with personality inviting visitors to question, explore and play.

Holliava Street Art Party

Organised, curated and project managed by Alleycat Creative, Holliava, Richmond welcomed a selected group of Melbourne’s emerging artists at a night of Street Art with one of Melbourne’s leading stencil artists, HaHa.
The raw brick walls, gritty furnishings and cavernous surrounds of Holliava provided the perfect canvas for incredibly talented expressions using stencil, mural & paste-up.
These new and emerging artists were invited to use the entire venue as their canvas. This has resulted in a radical transformation of the space adding a unique element of interest, layers, colour and personality.
All pieces were created on the night and installed directly onto surfaces capturing a moment in time for the artists and their blossoming careers.
